College Recruiter

Duration - Full time position

Overview of Position

The successful candidate shall be responsible for handling inbound calls and recording precise data in the student tracking system. They shall be knowledgeable so as to provide accurate course and financial counseling to potential applicants.

Duties

  • Capture and record accurate data from inbound calls
  • Enter client information into the Database
  • Prepare fulfillment materials and other required mailings
  • Assist applicants with completing enrollment forms and student loan applications
  • Facilitate the enrolment process, addressing questions and concerns applicants may have
  • Provide essential financial and course counseling so the applicant can make informed choices
  • Be available to answer calls and web chats

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school completion; however, post-secondary education and/or occupational experience are preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team or on their own
  • The ability to learn quickly, listen effectively, motivate, and multi-task
  • Successful sales people are outgoing, enthusiastic, persistent and often avid goal setters

Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment is considered an asset. Training is available.

College Instructor – Graphic Design and Programming

Duration - Full time position

Overview of Position

The successful candidate shall be responsible for providing instructional support to students by telephone, email, chat and remote support. They must evaluate student assignments and provide effective feedback. They shall offer encouragement and motivation to students on an on-going basis.

The successful candidate will assist in the administration of the college’s Aboriginal Division. The position will involve speaking with prospective students, students, applicants and alumni throughout Canada to promote access to education, financial support, and career opportunities after graduation.

Duties

  • Provide online tutorial support to students in several subject areas
  • Identify problem areas and help students discover potential solutions and initiate problem-solving processes
  • Review projects and respond with possible solutions and alternatives
  • Encourage strong work ethics in students
  • Promote a professional attitude to students at all times
  • Assist in the development of course content and marking keys
  • Evaluate student assignments and provide effective feedback ensuring that students are graded consistently and fairly in accordance with standards and policies
  • Complete administrative duties as outlined

Qualifications

  • An instructor in a college shall must possess the education and qualifications as prescribed by Private Career Colleges Regulations Act 244(1) a-e
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team or on their own
  • The ability to learn quickly, listen effectively, motivate, and multi-task
  • Successful instructors are knowledgeable, personable, supportive, and patient

Specific Skills

Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, HTML, ActionScript, 3dsMax, JavaScript, PHP, SQL

Training in a distance education environment is available.
