Bok Choy Salad

So the week-end is just around the corner, here a great recipe to try!

INGREDIENTS:
¾ cup oil½ cup sesame seeds
½ cup sugar2 pkgs ramen noodle, crushed
2 TBSP soy sauce1 medium head bok choy
2 TSP garlic powder3 or 4 green onions
1 pkg slivered almonds

DIRECTIONS:

1. Soak the bok choy in ice cold water, than dry. Allowing the bok choy to soak in cold water will give it the extra crunch. Chop bok choy and green onions and add to large bowl. Place in fridge.

2. In a small microwavable bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar and soy sauce. Set aside.

3. Add 1 tbsp oil over medium heat in a small skillet. Add, crushed ramen noodles, almonds and sesame seeds. Sauté until everything is golden brown. Add garlic powder. Remove from heat, cool for a few minutes. Once cool cover in an air tight container in fridge.

4. Heat the liquid mixture on high in 30 second increments, for about 2 ½ minutes whisking between each time. Continue until sauce is caramelized. Combine all mixtures and serve.

This recipe is now a family favorite in our house. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
