Slow Cooker Beef Chili

Well, there is nothing better than coming home from work after a long day to a great supper. Just made this recipe and it was delicious. My family loved it! So I thought I would share, hope your family enjoys it as well.
Slow Cooker Beef Chili
•1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
•1 can (19 flo oz) red kidney beans, rinsed
•1 can (14 fl oz/398 ml) no salt-added tomato sauce
•2 Tbsp. chili powder
•1 onion, chopped
•1 can (28 fl oz/796 ml) no salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
•A few crushed chilies (red pepper flakes)
•Optional: I also like to add some green pepper and a can of sliced mushrooms, rinsed and drained.

Make it:

Brown meat; drain. Add to slow cooker with all remaining ingredients. Cover with lid.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Stir just before serving. Serve with 1 Tbsp of lite cheese.

Our family also enjoys adding some chopped green onions and a dollop of sour cream. This recipe is so easy and delicious.
