Mactech Staffers Participate in Jail ‘N’ Bail

Published on
On Friday July 19, 2013, Mactech Distance Education participated in a local community fundraiser, the Jail ‘N’ Bail for North Sydney Kids.

Three staff members were cuffed and hauled off to “Club Fed” to raise their “bail money” with the proceeds going to the Clifford Street Youth Centre.

Clifford Street Youth Centre, located in North Sydney, provides free year round activities for local youth ranging in age from 3yrs-13yrs. Relying solely on volunteers and community contributions, the youth centre is unfunded therefore the Jail ‘N’ Bail is a major fundraiser for the centre.

Mactech raised a total of $300, in only a matter of hours! “We’re so happy with what we raised; Clifford Street is a great cause, it’s a safe place for kids, somewhere they can go occupy their time and hang out with friends” says Paulette Sampson, Mactech staff member and inmate for the day.
