A bursary is a non-repayable grant for applicants who demonstrate financial need. The Bursary Program at MDE offers applicants an opportunity to apply for financial support based on specific criteria. Financial need is the number one measure of eligibility but other criteria play a role as well. The goal of the MDE Bursary Program is to assist those in the highest need with the expense of gaining an education.
The bursary program is funded internally and funds are not intended to cover an applicant's full deficit. Those who wish to be considered for a bursary must complete an application form.
