MDE Announces Work Placement Program

Published on | 1 Comment
North Sydney, Nova Scotia – The Career Services team is excited to announce its Work Placement Program.

In development for several months, “the program has recently launched” says Tracy White, Student Employment Coordinator for MDE. One of the benefits of taking a course with MDE, says White, is having the opportunity to complete a work placement with a company of your choice in your community.

Completing a work placement allows you to gain experience in your field of study, have the opportunity to acquire fresh work references and to network with people in your new career path. In addition to gaining work experience, a work placement also gives you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in your chosen field which will help you discover your strengths in relation to the job as well as validate the skills and attributes you possess that will be most valuable to employers.
